Pioppino mushrooms, also known as Black Poplar mushrooms or Velvet Pioppini, have a rich, earthy flavor profile with notes of nuttiness, floral, and pepper. Some say they taste slightly sweet with hints of almond or cashew and a subtle bitterness. Their flavor can be described as umami and can elevate many dishes. Their firm texture holds up well in cooking, and their delightful umami taste can elevate even the simplest meals.

Pick-up locations include the Enchanted Farms Farm location at the WESST Enterprise Center at 609 Broadway Blvd NE or the Downtown Growers Market every Saturday. 

If you are outside the ABQ Metro area and need items shipped there will be additional shipping costs that start at $25. If you make an order and would like items delivered, we will follow-up to discuss your shipping options. This service is not available for customers outside the state of New Mexico.
